ABOUT OUR LAB

OUR FOCUS

Current projects in our group are focused on assessing connectivity and network topology across different disease stages, correlating findings with clinical measures. We also analyze spatial patterns from positron emission tomography and study biomarkers from the cerebrospinal fluid and blood plasma. Our ultimate goal is to apply new methods such as multilayer and dynamic brain connectivity or neuroinflammatory markers to study different disorders.  L E A R N  M O R E

OUR SOFTWARE

Many of the techniques we employ are integrated into an open-source MatLab-based software that we’ve developed, called BRAPH 2.0, which provides an extensive set of analysis pipelines, accessible both via graphical user interface (GUI) and via sample scripts. Furthermore, it allows to easily develop new specialized analysis pipelines, by introducing, e.g., new input data types, pre- and postprocessing steps, graph measures, visualization tools and deep learning analyses.

KAROLINSKA INSTITUTET

Karolinska Institutet stands as a global leader among medical universities. Its primary vision revolves around making substantial strides in enhancing human health, while its mission involves extensive research, education, and active community engagement. As Sweden’s largest hub for medical academic research, the institute provides the nation’s most extensive array of medical courses and programs. Notably, since 1901, the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has been responsible for the prestigious selection of Nobel laureates in Physiology or Medicine.

Our team is affiliated with the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Division of Neuro, and is also a constituent of Brain & Mind, an academic community uniting researchers in cognitive neuroscience. Leveraging various brain imaging techniques, the diverse research groups within our department seek profound insights into brain function, spanning both healthy and pathological conditions. Through collaborative endeavors, we strive to nurture a unique environment for scientific exchange, dedicated to advancing world-leading research on the intricacies of the human brain.
